Rockets Hoped To Extend P.J. Tucker On Partially Guaranteed Two-Year, $17M Deal

The Houston Rockets felt they were close to signing P.J. Tucker to a two-year extension.

The Rockets offered a two-year, $17 million extension with $10 million guaranteed. Tucker’s camp, however, countered with a fully guaranteed two-year deal worth $24 million.

Tucker often acknowledged he’s felt underappreciated by the Rockets.

The Rockets traded Tucker to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.
