She’s 37! Look Back at Katy Perry’s Craziest Style Moments

Spread the love

Wild and crazy! Katy Perry likes to have fun with fashion — it’s a fact. Because from her early days as an emerging pop artist to present day, the 37-year-old songstress has served up some seriously groundbreaking looks.

In need of some examples? Us Weekly’s Stylish is happy to provide all the proof. Rewind to 2008 and the “California Girls” singer showed up to a taping of FNMTV in Hollywood wearing a pink and green dress with a panda bear on it.

She pulled a similar stunt in 2011 for the NYC premiere of Smurfs. The American Idol judge showed her love for Smurfette, whom she was voicing in the film, by strutting down the red carpet in a white minidress emblazoned with the character’s face front and center.

Some of our favorite fashion moments from the pop star have come to pass at the Met Gala, where she makes a point of showing off her bold and unique sense of style.

At the 2015 soirée, which was themed, “China: Through the Looking Glass,” she donned a multi-colored gown by Moschino’s Jeremy Scott. Two later, she stunned in a red tulle avant garde dress by John Galliano. The A-lister walked the stairs with a veil over her face and a headpiece overtop.

It was the 2019 Met Gala though where she really blew Us away. Perry embraced the Camp theme through and through, donning two absolutely outrageous ensembles. The first look was a chandelier that lit up (yes, that’s right) and the second was a a cheeseburger with a lettuce slip dress underneath.

The star doesn’t just serve up fabulous fashion on the red carpet, she’s also made American Idol into her own, personal runway. This past season, Perry served up some fabulous fashion, including a cow-print Christian Siriano number that was complete with a breastfeeding panel (practicality people!) and a Tinkerbell costume that was nothing short of enchanting. The singer even bleached her brows for the occasion, proving that she’s willing to commit to a making a style statement.

Thanks to a no-fear fashion attitude mixed with plenty of self-confidence, the “Firework” singer never fails in her ability to spark conversations about her ever-changing styles. From cool and kooky to old Hollywood glam, the pop star keeps us guessing with her outrageous wardrobe.
